As a web developer, I have always been interested in creating projects that can make a difference in the world. One such project is a voting website that I created towards the end of 2022. The aim of this website was to provide a platform for fair and transparent elections.The website had two dashboards - one for the admin and one for the voters. The admin dashboard had a lot of features - the admin could add or remove candidates, add new posts and blogs, and plan events that could be viewed by all the other admins. The admin could also set the election date and see the real-time results.The voter dashboard was equally impressive - voters could see all the posts, notifications from the admin, candidates, and their manifesto. If a voter was also a candidate, he or she could see more features like adding their manifesto, writing their profile, and even writing a blog.The website was built using a combination of Next.js, Firebase, and MongoDB. These technologies allowed me to create a website that was fast, reliable, and secure. The use of Firebase also meant that I could easily incorporate real-time updates, which was crucial for a voting website.Overall, I am proud of the website I created. I believe that it can make a positive impact in the world by ensuring fair and transparent elections. The website was designed to be user-friendly and accessible to everyone, and I hope that it can be used as a model for similar projects in the future.
